The single-disc sander SINGLE is a true all-round work horse. With its powerful motor and maintenance-free metal gear drive, the single-disc sanding machine is designed for rough work all the way up to fine sanding.
is included as standard with the SINGLE.
With the universal disc, parquet can be sanded, padded and the floor cleaned. The design of the disc allows the attachment of velcro discs, pads, sanding grids, double sanding discs and tension discs for screwing.
The milling disc for the SINGLE was designed for rough subfloor work. Recommended for removing old felt floors, floor covering leftovers and carpet back residues.
The DIAMOND sanding disc has a disc diameter of 406 mm and is equipped with 6 diamond grinding segments. Due to its properties, the DIAMOND sanding disc is ideally suited for sanding screeds, epoxy resin coatings and for the removal of levelling compound and tile adhesive residues.
When faced with a glue down parquet and a new install you are inevitably confronted with subfloor refurbishment. In many cases, this is very time consuming. A new floor can only be installed when the subfloor is refurbished and prepared. With our new sanding disc with diamond sanding segments, subfloor work is now faster and easier.
In order to be able to test our diamond sanding disc for the SINGLE under real conditions, we were again looking for an interesting renovation project this year. One led us to Hockenheim. Here we came across a house with about 90 m2 / 970 ft2 of living space from the year of construction in 1962.
On the ground floor of the house a mosaic parquet was installed in a cube pattern, which had very high indications of wear. On closer inspection, we even discovered old, deeper sanding marks that came from an earlier renovation. Loose parquet blocks made us decide to completely reinstall the floor.
1. In the first step, we removed the old parquet with a pneumatic lance/chisel and cleared the room.
2. Immediately afterwards we sanded down the old adhesive residues with the SINGLE and the diamond sanding disc. This work progressed quickly, so that after a short time all adhesive residues were eliminated. By using the diamond sanding disc, we were able to level the screed floor.
3. In the third step, the floor was vacuumed thoroughly with a vacuum cleaner of dust class H.
Laminate was originally laid in the upper floor of the house. This was to be replaced at the request of the owner for a real wood parquet floor. When tearing out the laminate, we encountered old filler residues on the subfloor that was perfect for using the diamond sanding disc.
With our powerful SINGLE and the diamond disc, we tested the versatility of our latest development on a real construction site. In our experiment, the single-disc sanding machine and its new sanding disc for subfloor refurbishment was proven to be very successful.
Old adhesive residues and filler residues were easily sanded off. By connecting an external vacuum system and the use of the sealing Velcro we were able to work almost dust-free.
After vacuuming the subfloors, we were able to start immediately with the application of PU primer, so that after the manufacturer-recommended drying time of the primer the new install could be started.
